Founded in 1998, American Institute of Dermatology, P.A. is Central Florida's leading provider in the diagnosis, treatment, and surgery of the skin, hair, nails and mucous membranes.
We are trained in the early detection of potentially dangerous skin cancers, and use the most effective treatments available, catering to the individual needs of each patient.
The practice offers a variety of skin beautification and anti-aging treatments which include peels, fillers, and carries a line of skin care products and prescription medications.

DARRIN A. ROTMAN, M.D.
Darrin A. Rotman M.D. is a Board-Certified Dermatologist and Mohs Surgeon. He is also the founder of American Institute of Dermatology, P.A and has served the Central Florida community diligently for over twenty years.
Dr. Rotman graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Miami with a Baccalaureate of Science degree in 1988 and went on to receive a Medical Doctor degree with honors from University of Miami School of Medicine in 1992. In 1996, he graduated from the Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery Residency at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital. He founded American Institute of Dermatology in 1998.
Dr. Rotman is an active participant and member of medical societies that continue consistently extending and advancing his medical education and cutting-edge techniques in the delivery of his profession. These societies include American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) and the American Society for Mohs Surgery (ASMS). He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology (ABD) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD).
Dr. Rotman's interests and abilities allow him to provide a myriad of skin care services including cancer treatments, Mohs Surgery, and the diagnosis and treatment of rashes, growths, and skin beautification techniques for all patients, from infants to geriatric patients.

SHURUN ZHAO, M.D.
Shurun Zhao, M.D. is Board-Certified physician who has been with American Institute of Dermatology, P.A. since 2010.
A Medical Doctor and Neuroscience Program graduate of China Medical University in Shenyang, China, Dr. Zhao went on to complete his residency in Louisiana State University Health Science Center and his fellowship in Tulane University Health Science Center, both in New Orleans.
Dr. Zhao also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Instructor at Louisiana State University Department of Neurosurgery and Neuroscience Center of Excellence. Additionally, he went on to complete a Dermatopathology Fellowship in Tulane University Health Science Center.
Not only a physician, but also a published author, Dr. Zhao has co-authored several articles in peer reviewed journals.

ANH DINH-KIM, M.D.
Anh Dinh-Kim, M.D. is a Board-Certified physician who has been with American Institute of Dermatology. P.A. since 2022.
A Medical Doctor, graduate of the Ross University School of Medicine, Dr. Dinh-Kim completed her residency at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Yonkers, New York and the University of Texas Health in San Antonio, TX. She achieved Board Certification in 2018.
Prior to joining AIOD, Dr. Dinh-Kim was a Resident Teacher at UT Health in San Antonio, TX and HCA Brandon Regional Hospital. In addition to her work as a physician, she has co-authored various publications regarding her research experience.

JULIE L. IELLIMO, P.A.-C.
Julie L. Iellimo, P.A.-C. is a Certified Physician Assistant who has been serving the Central Florida community with American Institute of Dermatology, P.A. for the past 15 years.
Julie graduated with a Baccalaureate degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from Florida Gulf Coast University, a Baccalaureate of Science degree in Physician Assistant from Nova Southeastern University, and a Masters degree in Medical Science, also from Nova Southeastern University. In addition, Julie gained two years of experience in Physical Therapy and Family Medicine in South Florida prior to joining AIOD in 2006.
Her clinical rotations in Orthopedics, Surgery, Pediatrics, OBGYN, Family, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Dermatology have also allowed her medical skills to grow and thrive by associating the skin with one’s general health and expand her overall medical understanding of the inner workings of the human body.
Ms. Iellimo also maintains membership with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) to continue advancing her healthcare education.
Julie’s education, background, and collaboration of over 15 years with Board Certified Dermatologist Darrin A. Rotman, M.D. have allowed her to become adept in the management of Dermatology. She can extend the abilities of Dr. Rotman by caring for the skin needs of patients of all ages.

CYNTHIA K. LUCIANO, P.A.-C.
Cynthia Luciano is a certified Physician Assistant (P.A.-C.) who joined American Institute of Dermatology, P.A. in 2019.
Cynthia graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from Florida State University and a Masters of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Barry University. Prior to becoming a Certified Physician Assistant and joining AIOD, Ms. Luciano worked as a Medical Assistant in Dermatology.
Her clinical rotations in Surgery, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Behavioral Health, Family, Internal and Emergency Medicine, and Dermatology have added to her knowledge and understanding of the relationship between skin and health of the human body.
Ms. Luciano also maintains membership with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA) to continue advancing her education in healthcare. Her attendance at seminars and lectures continues to sharpen her skills in the diagnosis and treatment of skin disorders.
In addition, Cynthia continues to stay up to date in the medical field, grow, and share her expertise. All her education, background, and training have allowed her to become adept in the management of Dermatology and she is now able to extend the abilities of Dr. Rotman by caring for all skin needs of any patient.
Ms. Luciano is also fluent in both English and Spanish.

CHRISTOPHER J. CARNIGLIA, P.A.-C.
Christopher J. Carniglia, P.A.-C. is a certified Physician Assistant who joined American Institute of Dermatology, P.A. in 2021.
Christopher graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from University of Georgia and a Masters of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Nova Southeastern University. Chris also brings over two years of experience in Endocrinology in Central Florida prior to joining AIOD.
His clinical rotations in General Surgery, Pediatrics, Behavioral Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, OBGYN, ENT, Plastic Surgery, and Dermatology have allowed his skills to continue to grow by understanding to anatomy of the human body and associating the skin with one’s overall health.
Mr. Carniglia also maintains membership with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) and American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) to continue his commitment to education in healthcare. His attendance at seminars and lectures continues to sharpen his skills in the diagnosis and treatment of skin disorders.
In addition, Christopher’s collaboration with Board Certified Dermatologist, Darrin A. Rotman, M.D. has allowed him to consistently foster the continuation of his medical education. All his education, background, and training have allowed him to become adept in the management of Dermatology and he is now able to extend the abilities of Dr. Rotman by caring for the skin needs of patients of all ages.

CHRISTIAN M. BOUDREAUX, P.A.-C.
Christian M. Boudreaux, P.A.-C. is a certified Physician Assistant who joined American Institute of Dermatology, P.A. in 2022. Christian received his Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of South Florida. Prior to these studies, he obtained a Baccalaureate of Science degree in Biology from the University of Florida in Gainesville.
During his education, he completed clinical rotations in Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Endocrinology, Women’s Health, Emergency Medicine and Behavioral Health. In addition to his training with Board Certified Dermatologist Dr. Darrin A. Rotman, he also completed the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants’ Diplomate Fellowship Program.
Mr. Boudreaux maintains membership with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) and Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA) to continue his commitment to education in healthcare. His attendance at seminars and lectures continues to sharpen his skills in the diagnosis and treatment of skin disorders
