American Institute of Dermatology, P.A.

Founded in 1998, American Institute of Dermatology, P.A. is Central Florida's leading provider in the diagnosis, treatment, and surgery of the skin, hair, nails and mucous membranes.

We are trained in the early detection of potentially dangerous skin cancers, and use the most effective treatments available, catering to the individual needs of each patient.

The practice offers a variety of skin beautification and anti-aging treatments which include peels, fillers and Botox; and carries a line of skin care products and prescription medications.

Darrin A. Rotman M.D. is a Board Certified Dermatologist who graduated from the Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery residency at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital in 1996.

 

Prior to this, he received degrees with honors as a Medical Doctor from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1992 and a Baccalaureate of Science degree with Magna Cum Laude honors in 1988 from the University of Miami.  

 

Darrin A. Rotman M.D. is the founder of American Institute of Dermatology, P.A. and has been providing care for Central Florida patients for over twenty years. He has been caring for the Dermatologic needs of infants, children, adults, and geriatric patients.

 

Dr. Rotman's interests and abilities allow him to provide a myriad of skin care services including cancer treatments, Mohs Surgery and the diagnosis and treatment of rashes, growths, and skin beautification techniques.  

 

Dr. Darrin A. Rotman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology (ABD) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD). In addition, participation in the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) and the American Society for Mohs Surgery (ASMS) allows him to continue advancing his educational and cutting edge techniques in the delivery of Dermatology.

DARRIN A. ROTMAN, M.D.

Ms. Iellimo is a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) who graduated in 2006 from Nova Southeastern University with a Baccalaureate of Science degree in Physician Assistant and a Masters degree in Medical Science in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

 

Prior to her studies, she obtained a Baccalaureate degree from Florida Gulf Coast University in Clinical Laboratory Science.

 

Julie L. Iellimo joined our clinic in 2006 with over two years of experience in Physical Therapy and Family Medicine in South Florida.

 

Her clinical rotations in Orthopedics, Surgery, Pediatrics, OBGYN, Family, Internal and Emergency Medicine and Dermatology have allowed her skills to thrive by associating the skin with a person’s general health and enhanced her Dermatology training of over 12 years with Board Certified Dermatologist Dr. Darrin A. Rotman.

 

Additionally, her attendance at seminars and lectures has made her skilled with the diagnosis and treatment of skin disorders.

 

Her education, background, and training have allowed her to become adept in the management of Dermatology and she is now able to extend the abilities of Dr. Darrin A. Rotman by caring for all your skin needs.

 

In addition, she maintains membership with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) to continue advancing her educational and political commitment to healthcare.

JULIE L. IELLIMO, P.A.-C.

Ms. Brew is a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) who graduated in 2017 with a Masters degree from Nova Southeastern University in Orlando, FL. Prior to her studies, she obtained a Baccalaureate of Science degree in Biology from the University of South Florida with a Minor in Public Health.

 

Heather V. Brew joined our clinic in 2018. Her clinical rotations in Dermatology, Pediatrics, OBGYN, Colorectal Surgery, Behavioral Health, Family, Internal and Emergency have provided her with the knowledge of a patient’s overall health and enhanced her Dermatology training with Board Certified Dermatologist Dr. Darrin A. Rotman. Additionally, her

regular attendance at Dermatology seminars, lectures, and Dermatology specialty study courses have made her skilled with the diagnosis and treatment of skin disorders.

 

Heather V. Brew is proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of rashes and skin lesions that may need surgical removal and is able to extend the abilities of Dr. Darrin A. Rotman by caring for all your skin needs.

 

In addition, she maintains membership with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) to continue advancing her educational and political commitment to healthcare.

HEATHER V. BREW, P.A.-C.

Cynthia K. Luciano is a Certified Physician Assistant (P.A.-C.).  Ms. Luciano graduated with a Master’s degree from Barry University in Saint Petersburg, FL in 2018.   Ms. Luciano also obtained a Baccalaureate of Science degree in Health Sciences from Florida State University.

 

Ms. Luciano joined American Institute of Dermatology, P.A. in 2019.

 

Before coming to our practice, she completed clinical rotations in Dermatology, Surgery, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Behavioral Health, Family, Internal and Emergency Medicine.  She is well versed in, not only Dermatologic issues but also overall health.  Before becoming a Certified Physician Assistant, Ms. Luciano also worked as a Medical Assistant in Dermatology.

 

Ms. Luciano is proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of rashes and skin lesions that may require surgery, allowing her to help extend the abilities of Dr. Darrin A. Rotman.

 

In an effort to continually advance her training, Ms. Luciano is also a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), the Florida Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (FSDPA), and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA).

 

Ms. Luciano is also fluent in both English and Spanish.
